Q: What time are sessions offered throughout the day?

A: Training sessions are offered throughout the day Monday-Friday and Saturday mornings.
Our flexible class schedule includes early morning, mid-morning, lunch time, early evening, and evening sessions.

Q: Will I be “on my own” in the gym or will I have a coach with me?

A: PowerStrength is a Coaching Facility. Regardless of what class session you attend you will always be led by a coach, coached through your session, and coached on how to optimize your health and results in the gym and out.

Q: I have a current or prior injury that impacts my movement. Can I still join PowerStrength?

A: YES! We will meet you where you are. We have extensive experience working with a wide-range of ability-levels, including individuals that are limited by ongoing injuries or illnesses.

We begin with a 1-on-1 Starting Point Session to build a customized plan that meets your goals, health history, and ability-levels.

Q: Is there nutrition guidance provided with a membership?

A: Yes. Included in your membership you will receive a Success Packet complete with Nutrition information, resources, guidance, and overviews on supplementation, training, and various recovery methods. We include this information so there is clear direction in the gym and out for the best results.

Personalized Nutrition Coaching packages are also available for more guidance and accountability.

Q: How is progress measured?

A: We measure progress through a few different avenues. The 2 main objective measurements are performance and body composition.

Performance refers to training in the gym – are you improving, moving better, recovering faster, etc.

Body composition is measured using the InBody machine, which is a bioelectrical impendence analysis (BIA) tool that accurately measures body composition.

All new PowerStrength members receive a FREE Inbody scan – this helps us set goals and develop a roadmap to meet your goals. We then use the InBody to measure progress on a timeline specific to the goals and needs of every client.

The PowerStrength team wants to ensure that we provide the best service to our members; we know that having the Inbody machine is an important element to our client’s success, and we want you to take advantage of it! We have an InBody in each of our locations.

A: We have two convenient locations in the Grand Rapids Area.

Our North Gym is located near 4 Mile and Alpine Ave. (919 Alpine Commerce Park NW.)

Our East Gym is located near 52nd Street and East Paris Ave SE. (5131 East Paris Ave SE.)
